Town of Fairfield was once served by seven different Post
Offices…..Kendall’s Mills (Intown Fairfield), Fairfield Center,
Fairfield Corners (Nye’s Corner), East Fairfield (Hinckley), North
Fairfield, Larone and Somerset Mills (Shawmut) each covering a
different village within the town of Fairfield.
On
June 18th Fairfield was incorporated as the 56th town in
Lincoln
County, District of Maine, Comonwealth of Massachusetts.
